One of the most impressive state parks, St Joseph Peninsula State Park is located south of Panama City on coastal U.S. 98. With over 20 miles of shoreline, this park has it all. Located on a peninsula it has the bay on the eastern side and the gulf on the western side. In all, over 2516 acres of dune studded beach where you can swim, camp, go on guided nature walk programs and bird watch. Bird watching is excellent here due to the more that 200 species that frequent the park.
While you are in the area be sure to take the senic drive to Port St. Joe to see the Constitution Convention
State Museum. The exhibits in this museum date back to the 1830's.
