Here is the ultimate Egypt tour for people who love to cruise.
From sunrise at the temples of Abu Simbel to sunset over the Nile
in front of the Necropolis of Thebes you will never find a more
enjoyable experience.
Tuesday: Depart New York at
11PM flying non-stop to Egypt.
Wednesday: Arrive Cairo, be met by
our staff who will assist with clearing immigration and customs
and transfer to the Sonesta hotel.
Thursday: A full days tour of the
Pyramids at Giza, the inscrutable Sphinx, the Egyptian museum and
the Khan el Khalili bazaar. O/N Sonesta.
Friday: Our staff will transfer you
to the airport for your flight to Abu Simbel. On arrival staff
will transfer you to the ship. Lunch on board. Visit
the temples then a welcome cocktail reception is followed by a
candlelight dinner. Attend the sound and light show. (B in Cairo,

Saturday: For those who would like to
watch the spectacular sunrise at Abu Simbel, please enjoy an early
morning visit to the temples. Breakfast is served while
sailing to Kasr Ibrim (about a 3.5 hour navigation). Arriving to
Kasr Ibrim, sole vestige of the distant past of Nubia found in its
original location. During the Pharaonic period, this hill was
dominated by a citadel and throughout the Medieval era, the summit
of the hill was dominated by a cathedral of which we can
still admire some Roman arches. Lunch will be served while sailing
to Amada (about a 2.5 hour navigation) Visit the temple of Amada
of the XVIIIth dynasty, built during the reign of Thotmosis III,
Amenophis III and Thotmosis IV. The hemi-speos of Derr dedicated
by Ramses II to the rising sun and the tomb of Penout, viceroy of
Nubia. A relaxing afternoon sail to Wadi El Seboua. This is
about a 2 hour navigation. (B,L,D)
Sunday: Morning visit to Wadi El
Seboua. The temple of Wadi El Seboua dedicated by Ramses II to the
two Gods Amon Ra and Ra Harmakis. The temple of Dakka, dedicated
to the God Thot of Divine wisdom, lord of time and science, master
of literature. Visit the Greco-Roman temple of Meharakka.
Sail to Aswan while dining and overnight on board. This is about a
9 hour navigation. (B,L,D)
Monday: Disembarkation after
breakfast. Visit the Kalabsha temple with its Pharaonic
aspect, remodeled into the Greco-Roman style and dedicated to the
God Mandoulis. Also visiting the hemi-speos of Beit El Wali,
erected by Ramses II in the beginning of his reign and the Kiosk
of Kertassi, erected to honor the Goddess Isis. Transfer to the
Basma Hotel in Aswan. Located on the highest point in the
area it offers commanding views of the Nile, the city of Aswan and
the desert. Visit the Nubian museum, right across the street
from the hotel. This is a first class presentation of the
Nubian culture and history. O/N Basma (B)
Tuesday: Board ship in morning, enjoy
lunch, depart by native sailboat (Felucca) for Elephantine Island
and to see the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Dinner on board. (B at the

Wednesday: Visit the high dam, the
old dam, the Temple of Philae. Sail to Kom Ombo. Visit
the Temple shared by the two Gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Sail
on to Edfu. (B,L,D)
Thursday: Visit the Temple of
Horus in Edfu. Sail to Esna, cross the river locks and sail
on to Luxor. (B,L,D)
Friday: Cross to the West bank,
visit the Necropolis of Thebes, Valley of the Kings, the Temple of
Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Also on the East
bank visit the Temple of Karnak and Luxor. (B,L,D)
Saturday: Disembarkation after
breakfast. Our staff will transfer you to the airport for your
flight to Cairo. Arriving Cairo our staff will transfer you
to the Sonesta hotel for the evening.
Sunday: Our staff will transfer you
to the airport, assist with exit formalities and checking in for
your 9AM international departure.
GROUP TOURS INCLUDE:
Round trip air from JFK (Add on air from other U.S. cities
available). All transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour
program starting with arrival to Cairo. Baggage handling of no more than 2 pieces of luggage per person
however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at
all times during the tour. Cruises on 5* vessels with outside, Nile view cabins, private
baths, individually controlled air-conditioning. Hotels (based on double occupancy).
Meals as outlined by B for Breakfast, L for lunch and D for
dinner. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums.
Services of an English speaking licensed Egyptologist. Service charges and taxes.
Tips for ground personnel except guide. Travel Insurance for those departing from the USA or Canada.
Not included are: items of a personal nature such as tips for
guide, entry visa (available at the airport on entry for USA and
Canadian citizens. Other nationalities should check with the
nearest Egyptian consulate), phone calls, laundry, bar bills, beverages during
