9 days/8 nights including Cairo, Aswan, Luxor or
14 days/13 nights including Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, Alexandria and the
Sinai
This is a tour that rewards your savings on hotel accommodations by
allowing you to extend your stay to enjoy Egypt as few people get to
do. This is a tour without the luxury blanket but with the close
personalized attention that has made our company famous.
A sample tour is:
Day 01: (Saturday): Arrive Cairo, be met by a SST representative who
will assist you will clearing immigration and customs. He will then
take you to a quality 3 star or 4 star hotel for the evening similar to
the Novotel, The Oasis or the Longchamps. The evening is free.
Day 02: (Sunday): Today our Egyptologist will take you to Memphis,
capital of the ancient kingdom, one of ancient Egypt’s most important
cities. Most of its ancient splendors have been destroyed, but the
Alabaster Sphinx built in the 19th dynasty still remains, as does a
beautifully carved statue of Ramses II. Then continue to Sakkarra and
on to the last existing seven wonders of the world, the Pyramids of
Giza. Look into the face of the inscrutable Sphinx and experience the
grandeur that these monuments present. O/N Cairo (B)
Day 03: (Monday): Breakfast at the hotel then its off to the Egyptian
museum, home of King Tut’s treasures. Afterward enjoy a visit to the
Citadel of Salah el Din and the Mohammed Ali Mosque. From there off to
the Khan el Khalili bazaar where bargains abound. The evening is free.

Day 04: (Tuesday): Morning free then an afternoon tour of Old Cairo with
it’s famous churches, synagogues and mosques. Transfer to the train
station for your overnight sleeper train to Aswan which departs about
7:45PM. (B at the hotel, Dinner on the train)
Day 05: (Wednesday): Arrive Aswan about 9AM and transfer to the Basma
Hotel, a top four star property. Located on the highest elevation in the
area it offers commanding views of the Nile, the city of Aswan and the
desert. Afternoon free or enjoy a stroll across the street to the
Nubian Museum. Opened in 1997 it is a world class presentation on the
Nubian history and culture. (B on the train)
Day 06: (Thursday): Visit the high dam, the old dam and the Temple of
Philae. Board the train about 5PM for Luxor. Arrive about 8PM and
transfer to the Pharaon, a fine three star hotel right on the shore of
the Nile in the heart of Luxor. (B)
Day 07: (Friday): Cross to the West bank, visit the Necropolis of
Thebes including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
and the Colossi of Memnon. Also on the East bank visit the Temple of
Karnak and Luxor. Depart about 9PM on the overnight sleeper train to
Cairo. (B on the train)
Day 08: (Saturday): Arrive Cairo about 6AM and transfer to the Novotel.
Free day to enjoy Cairo.
Day 09: (Sunday): Our staff will take you to the airport, assist with
departure formalities and checking in for your international
departure.
This tour includes: 3 and 4 star hotels (based on double occupancy),
meals as outlined by B: breakfast, L: lunch, D: dinner, all sightseeing
as listed with the services of a licensed Egyptologist throughout, all
transfers pertaining to the tour outline in air-conditioned vehicles,
first class sleeper train, service charges and taxes.

EXTENSIONS
Day 08: (Saturday): Arrive Cairo and transfer to Alexandria, the city
of Cleopatra. Visit the catacombs, the Greco-Roman ruins including
Pompey’s pillar, the museum and the Montazah Palace. Return to Cairo in
the evening. O/N Cairo.
Day 09: (Sunday): Staff transfers you to the bus station where you
board an air-conditioned coach for Sharm el Sheikh. Arriving Sharm,
about 6 hours later, staff will transfer you to the Ghazala hotel.
Located right on the ocean at the heart of Naama Bay this is the home to
Sinai Divers. (B)
Day 10: (Monday): A free day to enjoy the beach, snorkeling,
scuba, relax. (B)
Day 11: (Tuesday): Depart about midnight for Mt. Sinai. Climb to the
crest to watch the sunrise and return to the base to visit St.
Catherines monastery OR if you don’t want to climb the mountain depart
the Ghazala about 6AM to view the mountain and visit St. Catherines.
From St. Catherines travel to Wadi Feiran, one of the Bible’s famous
Exodus stories occurred here and it is a perfect example of a desert
oasis. You will be introduced to the Bedouin culture and enjoy a
B-B-Q lunch before returning to Sharm to overnight. (B,L)
Day 12: (Wednesday): Staff will
transfer you to the bus station for your trip back to Cairo. Arriving
Cairo you will be met by staff who will transfer you to a nice hotel. (B)
Day 13: (Thursday): A free day to
explore Cairo. Perhaps a tour to the Islamic sites including the Mosque of Ibn Tulun and others or a chance
to visit the art and antique district. It’s your day, enjoy it. (B)
Day 14: (Friday): Staff will transfer you to the airport, assist with
departure formalities and checking in for your international departure.
