Terry McKendree South Sinai Travel St. Marys GA 31558 Dear Terry: We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in Egypt. Special note goes to Mohsen who was our tour leader throughout our visit. He was always on time, followed through and seemed to genuinely care about making our visit pleasant. Secondly, we praise Mohammed Zaglou, our Egyptologist. He was most helpful in our purchasing of an Egyptian carpet during our visit. His knowledge of your country's history is overwhelming, in a good sense. I cannot compliment enough on how convenient SST made all transfers and getting around. We would have been frustrated and drained if we had to do all this ourselves. Your services and friendly staff in every city made the trip delightful. Highest praise for the work you and your staff do to help visiting tourists explore Egypt country, it's rich history and the promise it holds for the future. We will recommend you highly. Thank you. South Sinai Travel St. Marys GA 31558 Dear Terry: We returned yesterday morning from Cairo. The trip was fantastic. From the Mena House to the Radimus to the Ritz Carlton to the Marriott, everything was great. Some of the highlights you might want to share with future clients are as follows;
Mena House Dinner by the Pool...not sure if they do this year round,
but they did a formal dinner each night by the pool with live music.
The tables are set on the grass overlooking both the pool and the
pyramids. Reservations are a must if you want a good table.
While this was my third trip to Giza, it was my first to visit to the Solar boat. I highly recommend the visit. MS Radimus...everything was perfect. The rooms, food, guides, etc.. Recommend to your clients to stay hydrated and avoid keeping there cabin temperatures too low. We witnessed several of our traveling companions getting sick from either a lack of consistent hydration or drastic temperature changes going from inside to outside.
Ritz Carlton...best hotel ever visited (and that includes five other Ritz
Carltons, several Four Seasons, and two Mandarin Orientals). All
the restaurants are great, the pool bar at the waterpark also does a great
lunch. Customer service at the hotel was also unbelievable. It was next to impossible to do anything for
yourself before being caught by an attentive member of the staff.
Marriott...nice hotel, recommend snooping (which is permitted) around the formal rooms of the palace. Also wanted to let you know SST's staff in Cairo, Aswan and Luxor all did a great job (especially Tarek in Cairo). They are all masters expediting arrivals and departures. If any future prospective clients would like to speak with a satisfied client, we would be more than willing to help you out. D. Guilinger

South Sinai Travel St. Marys GA 31558 Dear Terry: It gives me great pleasure to write this letter regarding our trip to Egypt September 13-21, 2000. John and I have nothing but happy memories. The guides were all very knowledgeable and patient. Any request or want was happily accommodated. The pictures of me smoking a water pipe at El Fishaway are priceless! Your staff members assisting us were all excellent. Ihab Kamel excelled in his efforts to assist. My luggage was lost enroute from St.Louis to Cairo. Without Ihab’s efforts, I would not have received my luggage. My sincere thanks to Ihab. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations. The Mena House is exceptional. The M/S Admiral I found excellent. The ship traveled slow and other cruise ships were constantly passing the Admiral. Some passengers seemed upset about this. I enjoyed the opportunity to view the sights along the Nile. We took many photographs during this time, and they are beautiful. The old quarry turned out quite well. I believe most travelers missed such wonderful sights. Our experience has generated considerable interest among friends who never considered Egypt for a vacation. When they are ready to begin planning their trips, we will gladly provide them with all information necessary to contact South Sinai Travel. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Terry McKendree Dear Terry: I wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed our trip to Egypt. In large part, I attribute our wonderful experience to the professional expertise of members of your SST staff. Terry, in your St. Mary's, Georgia office made feasible what to us seemed at first like an impenetrable maze of options and schedules for our Egyptian holiday. We could not have been better pleased with the accommodation arrangements he made for us (at the Cairo Marriott, the Sonesta St. George in Luxor, Le Meridien Pyramids in Giza, and on the Sonesta "Nile Goddess" cruise boat). He was extremely responsive to our questions and concerns, and both my husband and I plan to recommend SST to our friends and acquaintances based #1 on the ease of dealing with Terry and #2 on the fact that from the moment we landed at the Cairo airport, we felt we were in good and capable hands with other members of your SST operation. I cannot say enough in praise of Mohsen Muauad who was our "tour guide" at both ends of our stay in Egypt. He was prompt (usually 15 minutes early!) on every occasion; he was efficient in getting us from point A to point B; he was personable; he was always impeccably professionally attired; he was attentive to any special requests or needs we might have expressed (e-mailing our next door neighbors in Texas; procuring us an early breakfast when necessary to meet departure times, making sure ours were rooms with a Nile and pyramid view). He is a young staff member of whom you should be proud; any organization would be a strong one with employees of Mohsen's character and abilities. Also in Cairo, we enjoyed two very wonderful expeditions with Dina Saad, our Egyptologist. She was very knowledgeable as well as delightful company. In Luxor, Ayman Ghaly was very helpful and courteous in all respects. At our request he took us to an optometrist's shop in Luxor to purchase sunglasses (to replace ones I'd lost in Cairo), and was even cheerful the morning he had to meet us at 5:15 a.m. in order to secure tickets for our visit to Nefertari's tomb. Refaat el Kahim, our Egyptologist in Luxor, was also a fine guide and interpreter of Egyptian history and lore. We enjoyed our morning with him at the Valley of the Tombs of the Kings and The Valley of the Queens. In Aswan, for our transfer from the cruise boat to and from Abu Simbel, we were lucky indeed to have Mohammed Taher as our tour guide. He was helpful and courteous in some especially trying circumstances - when my husband was sick, he procured assistance from a doctor's assistant at the Aswan airport, and was generally solicitous and very patient during our long layover in the Aswan airport for our plane back to Luxor. I also want you to know how accommodating and helpful Taha Hussien was to us during our stay in Luxor. In a fortuitous turn of events, Mohammed Taher saw Taha Hussien in the Aswan airport as he (Mr. Hussien) was getting ready to board our flight. Taha made certain the flight attendant brought my husband mint tea to help settle his stomach and then when we disembarked in Luxor, he came with us and Ayman Ghaly in our van to take us to a local pharmacy. In addition, you might remember, he called you to make an adjustment in our itinerary because of my husband's illness. We were most grateful that we were able to omit the long day we had planned to Abydos and Dendera and substitute the activities in the Luxor area for the "free day" we had originally scheduled I also want to mention the van drivers on all legs of our trip. They were without exception courteous and eager to please. We had, by way of contrast, a very different experience at both ends of this trip: before and after Egypt, we stayed briefly in Athens. We were on our own and had many exasperating and even potentially dangerous situations. We are very grateful to you and your company for making our Egyptian vacation a positive and exhilarating adventure. I had waited many years to make this trip to Egypt and had high expectations for it. Thanks to SST, it really was a "dream trip," the trip of a lifetime. Many thanks, K. Allen
