10 days/ 9 nights including a 5 day 4 night cruise from
Aswan to Luxor or Luxor to Aswan, featuring private tours
plus an optional tour to Abu Simbel and more.
This tour provides an excellent introduction to the
majority of important Pharaonic sites along the Nile
valley. From the Great Pyramids at Giza to the
incredible Temples at Abu Simbel you will experience a
taste of history found no where else on earth.
Friday: Depart New York at 11PM on your non-stop
flight to Egypt.
Saturday: Arrive Cairo, be met by our staff who will
assist you with clearing immigration and customs. Transfer to the
Mena House hotel or similar. The evening is free.
Sunday: Enjoy a buffet breakfast then our Egyptologist
will take you to Memphis, capital of the ancient kingdom, one of ancient
Egypt’s most
important cities. Most of its splendors have been
destroyed, but the Alabaster Sphinx built in the 19th dynasty still remains,
as does a beautifully carved statue of Ramses II. Then on to
Sakkarra with it’s
stepped pyramid and Dahshur with the Black pyramid,
the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid (built of red granite brought all the
way from Aswan it is open for entry) Evening free. (B)
Monday: Breakfast at the hotel then its off to the
Pyramids of Giza and the inscrutable Sphinx. From here on to the Egyptian
museum followed by a trip to the Khan el Khalili bazaar where bargains
abound.
Tuesday: Depart on a morning flight to Aswan where you
will board your 5 star Presidential cruise ship. After lunch sail in a
native Felucca (sailboat) to view Elephantine Island and the Aga Khan
mausoleum plus other sites on the river. Dinner and evening
entertainment onboard.
NOTE: We can arrange an optional tour to Abu Simbel.
Wednesday: A visit to the historic sites in Aswan
including the high dam, the old dam, the Temple of Philae. Return to the ship
for departure to Kom Ombo. Visit the Temple shared by the two Gods
Sobek and Haroeris. Then sail to Edfu and overnight. Dancing
and evening entertainment. (B,L,D)
Thursday: Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu before
sailing to Esna where you will cross the locks then sail on to Luxor.

Friday: After breakfast you will cross to the west bank
where you will enjoy seeing the Necropolis of Thebes including the Valley
of the Queens, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen
Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for lunch and
then visit the Temple of Karnak and Luxor on the east bank. (B,L,D)
Saturday: Disembark after breakfast. Fly to
Cairo. Afternoon free. O/N Sonesta hotel. (B)
NOTE: Optional tours in Luxor to Dendara/Adydos can
be arranged or perhaps a visit to Queen Neferateri’s tomb or In Cairo
an afternoon tour of
Old Cairo with it’s famous churches, synagogues and
mosques.
Sunday: Staff will transfer you to the airport,
assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international
departure at 9AM. (B)

Saturday: Fly from Luxor to Sharm el Sheikh and
transfer to the Hyatt Regency. Free day to enjoy the beach and the crystal

Sunday: Drive into the Sinai mountains stopping to
visit Wadi Feiran, where some of the most famous biblical stories from Exodus
occurred. Continue to the foot of Mt. Sinai to overnight. O/N St.

Monday: Rise early and climb Mt. Sinai to see the
sunrise then return to the base to visit the Chapel of the Burning Bush in St.
Catherine’s monastery.
Visit the Rock of Inscriptions, where travelers have left
directions and messages for 8,000 years. See Ein Kudra, traditionally
hazarot for the Children of Israel, then return to Sharm for the evening.

Alexandria, the city of Cleopatra where you will enjoy seeing the catacombs,
Pompey’s Pillar,
the museums and the library. Have lunch at San Giovanni,
on the shore of the Mediterranean. Return to Cairo in the evening

Thursday: Staff transfers you to the airport,
assists with exit formalities and checking in for your 1:30AM departure for
New York.
