Local Programs: Aid with job training through JTPA and Community College;
State Programs: Smart Jobs.
Industrial Tax Abatement: A firm spending $500,000 or more on
improvements to a site or an existing site could receive term and % of tax
abatement on improvements only. This is a negotiated contract between the
company and governing body. The maximum term under state law is ten years.
North and South Zones; Available Incentives: Sales Tax refunds for local
purchases and employment, Building Permit Fee refunds, Commercial Tax
Abatement. These incentives are available only within designated enterprise
zones.
The City offers to qualified companies the potential to receive infrastructure
improvements and upgrades at no cost or reduced cost.
