HIGH SCHOOL

I. Parents and their child fill out an application for the magnet school of their choice. All applications are due in the office of the Director of Magnet Programs by March 1.

II. Approval for all high school magnet programs will be made by April 3. Notification letters to students will be mailed during April.

III. All students that apply for a magnet program and receive an appointment will be transferred from the neighborhood school to the magnet school.

IV. If a student wishes not to accept an appointment, the student may request to return to the neighborhood school by filling out a Student Transfer Form and sending it to the Director of Magnet Programs through the junior high principal.

V. Bus transportation will be provided for each magnet student from their home high school to and from the magnet school campus.
