Immunizations

Texas law requires immunizations for all students enrolled in schools. Immunizations should be completed before students enter school. For transfer students to LISD, 30 days are permitted for receipt of records. This grace period does not apply to current students who receive adequate notification of needed immunizations. The following listing includes the necessary immunizations:

A physician-validated history of invasive Haemophilus influenzae type b disease on or after the second birthday shall be accepted in lieu of immunization.

POLIO: Vaccine required - three oral Sabin doses through age 18 with the last dose on or after the fourth birthday.

DIPHTHERIA-TETANUS (DPT, DT and/or TD): Vaccine required-three doses with at least one of the doses on or after the fourth birthday (a booster dose is required every ten years thereafter).
