Cooperative Education Courses

Cooperative (on-the-job) Programs: These programs provide on-the-job training for interested students. Students attend school three or four periods (one period is devoted to the classroom instruction relating to chosen occupation, and the other two or three periods are devoted to required courses) daily and train in one of the cooperating businesses in the afternoon. A coordinator assists the students in finding career training employment and coordinates the classroom instruction with the on-the-job experience. Students must be at least 16 years of age. All courses are open to males and females. These courses may substitute for the physical education requirement for graduation.
