Program Description: A tutoring program is offered at each elementary school. The program begins during the fourth week of school and continues until the first week in May. The program serves students who are making grades below 70 or students with poor study skills. Parent information is sent home with the progress reports and report cards. Tutoring sessions incorporate study hall for students having difficulty turning in work and reteaching for students who do not understand concepts presented in the regular class.

Program Goals: The goal of the tutoring program is to help each student learn the skills necessary to be successful in school.

Time and Staffing: Tutoring sessions equal 90 minutes per week. Bus transportation is provided for desegregation students.
