This year, during which the orchestra will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary - The Golden Season - Maestro Schram has been the major influence in helping develop a season that, for the first time, will include not only six classical programs (MasterWorks), but also three pops concerts (SuperPops), three special children's concerts (OrKidstra), and two concerts with the LSO's new chamber choir (Sanctuary Series).

"In addition to the MasterWorks Series - which will feature six pairs of concerts - symphony lovers can now enjoy a season that has been expanded by three different venues and a variety of musical talent unequaled in any previous year," the Maestro promises.
The Netherlands native is by no means a stranger to Lubbock any longer. Nor is Lubbock a stranger to him. His gregarious personality, keen humor and abundant enthusiasm have endeared him to countless people, and his talents on the podium since his September '94 debut have greatly excited audiences on the Plains. This has translated into increased season ticket sales.
In addition to his ever-increasing role as Lubbock's Maestro, Dr. Schram is the Resident Conductor of the Louisville Orchestra and The Columbus Symphony Orchestra. He is also a popular guest conductor, and travels extensively in response to the many invitations he receives annually from orchestras thought the United States and abroad.
