Opportunities will be provided in a laboratory-oriented earth science course that includes manipulative laboratory skills, investigations, problem solving, and real life application. Taught at all junior high schools other than Dunbar. (3053000)

Science 8 Honors
This course includes all earth science topics covered in Science 8 and expands on the various areas of earth science. It includes the required essential elements of Science 8 while accelerating and expanding the subject matter. Taught at Cavazos, Hutchinson and O. L. Slaton. (3053000)

Science II Block
This is science instruction that is the sequence course to Science I Block. This course provides science instruction that includes a collection of laboratory/field activities that draw on all the scientific disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics, earth, and space sciences). Science II Block Honors
This is science instruction that is the sequence course to Science I Block Honors. Honors courses offer more flexibility and greater acceleration of subject matter while adding additional curriculum demands to the essential elements required in Science II. Taught only at Dunbar. (3053000)
