Advanced American Red Cross Courses
LIFEGUARD TRAINING:
(must be 15 on the first night of class) There will be a strenuous skills test the first night of class and throughout the course, so good swimming ability is a must! Due to the amount of material covered in each class, NO MAKE-UPS OR REFUNDS ARE ALLOWED! Cost is $70. There is a book and program service fee. Books are to be paid for at the Red Cross on 22nd and Ave. X. March 5 - April 16 TTh 8-11 p.m.
COMMUNITY FIRST AID AND SAFETY:
New Red Cross Course teaches first aid and community CPR. Cost: $40 March 4 & 6 MW 7-11 p.m.
WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR
This course trains instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety courses. Participants must be at least 17 years old at the beginning of the course. Candidates must take and pass a pre-course. The pre-course will be held Wed., March 6, 8-11 p.m. Cost of the pre-course is $10. Participants must register for the pre-course by March 4. Dates for the WSI class are March 11 - April 8, MWF evenings, MW 8-11 p.m., Fridays 7-10 p.m. There will be 2 or 3 weekend sessions to be announced. Cost of the course is $70. Books are to be purchased at the Red Cross on 22nd and Ave. X.
