GENERAL INFORMATION
YWCA Holidays:
The YWCA will be closed for the following holidays: Dec. 22-Jan. 1. When holidays reduce the number of class sessions to be held, fees are prorated accordingly at the time of registration.
Membership:
YWCA Membership is encouraged for participation in any program or class. Annual memberships may be obtained at the YWCA Office or by mail. The Lubbock YWCA dues are $30.00 per year for adults; $20.00 per year for senior citizens; $12.00 per year teens 12-17; children 11 and under are included on parent's membership. Receive a $5.00 discount on senior citizen and teen membership by registering before your current membership expires. (*Women are members; men are associates.)
Registration:
Advance registration is necessary for every class and registration must be accompanied by class fee. You may register at the YWCA Office or by mail. To save you time, please show membership cards at the time of registration. Mailed registrations are dated in the order received and recorded during the first day of registration. A mailed registration does NOT guarantee a place in a class. The YWCA mailing address is 3101 35th street, 79413. Make checks payable to YWCA. Returned check charge is $10.00. VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, and DISCOVER welcome. Please register early. If you plan to register a large group for any activity or class, please call the YWCA Office for special regristration procedures. The YWCA reserves the right to cancel any scheduled class if there is not sufficient enrollment to support the class. Classes do not carry over month to month.
Refund Policies:
Refunds will be given on class fees ONLY if the class is cancelled by the YWCA. Membership fees cannot be refunded. It is a separate fee which is used to process your registration, to supply you with information throughout the year, and to furnish you with other special membership privileges.
Class Transfer Policies:
Transfers may be made only once and are possible only if the class maintains its minimum enrollment, and if there are openings in the class requested. Requests must be accompanied by a $2.00 fee for processing. Differences in class fees will NOT be refunded. Transfer to a more expensive class must be accompanied by the additional fee. No transfer after the first class. Choose your classes wisely and enjoy them.
