Maherpa
18th Dynasty

Maherpa was a childhood friend of Amenhotep II. Maherpa was a Nubian who died at a young age. He was buried in a tomb at Thebes that was undecorated and his mummy was encased in three coffins. Among his funerary objects was a copy of the "Book of the Dead", which was illustrated beautifully. In the book, he appears with black skin.
