| Flavius
Abinnaeus Roman Emperors
Flavius was a military officer who was responsible for conducting refugees of the Blemmyes to the imperial court at Constantinople and some two or three years later he reminded the emperors of this when he successfully petitioned for a promotion to command in a cavalry unit at the village of Dionysias in the Fayum. He was apparently viewed as a figure with influence on the very important changes in the role of the army and personnel in Egypt from the early part of the fourth century. Shop
