Bakenkhonsu
19th Dynasty

Bakenkhonsu was an official during the reign of Ramesses II. Ramesses appointed Bakenkhonsu to the position of High Priest of Amon. He was a member of the Amenemope clan and was the supervisor of one of the temples to Ramesses. He also erected sacred barques for the gods. Bakenkhonsu was also a member of the court system and was mentioned in the Berlin Papyrus. He is also mentioned on some of the statues found in the Cairo Museum. There are some places where it is mentioned that Nefertari was a member of his family.
