Ankhnes-Pepi
6th Dynasty

 

Ankhnes-Pepi was the wife of Pepi II who ruled during the 6th Dynasty from 2246-2152 BC. Her son and grandson became the founders of the 8th Dynasty, which she lived to see. She was buried in a storage chamber in a sarcophagus that had been borrowed from a friend of the family who had the sarcophagus prepared for his own funeral.
