Fishing Tales - Bay County, Fl![]() Now here is a fishing tale to top all fishing tales... It seems that Dale W. Sherrod booked a fishing trip with Capt. Donald Tyler on the "Treasure Island". Docked at the Treasure Island Marina in Panama City Beach. Right behind The Treasure Ship Restaurant. Here is his story ( third or fourth time around ). As the boat was out fishing a shark kept coming up and eating the bait and fish right off the lines. He circled and circled the boat. So Dale gaphed him. That's right folks, he gaphed the shark with a 10' gaph. The story doesn't end there. Dale fought this guy for 30 minutes still on the gaph, then he roped him. You people out in the west can appreciate this. Anyway, after roping the shark he fought him for 2 more hours on the rope before bringing him aboard. ![]() Fish: Mako Shark Angler: Dale W. My reply was "No I don't think I have anything"!Then I felt a tug and I rose to fight the fish. Then I saw something amazing It was the head of a huge black drum, and the monster took one look at us and pulled away snapping my line immediately!!It was a huge disappointment
